Air Treatment – A Crucial Investment

Why You Need Quality Air

Compressed air contains oil, particles and water vapor which form corrosive and abrasive sludge, damaging pipework, tools and final products.

Safeguard Production

Atlas Copco desiccant dryers protect production reliability and product quality with stable pressure dew points down to -70°C / -100°F.

Lower Energy Costs

Pressure drop below 0.2 bar reduces compressor energy use, while dew point control adapts consumption to real demand.

How Desiccant Dryers Work

01

Drying

Wet compressed air flows upward through the desiccant, where moisture is adsorbed.

02

Regeneration

Saturated desiccant is regenerated using dry air (CD+) or heated ambient air via blower (BD+).

03

Cooling

Reactivated desiccant is cooled using purge air or ambient air in zero-purge systems.

04

Switching

Drying switches to the regenerated tower, ensuring continuous dry air supply.

Advanced Technology & Control

The dryer switches towers only when required, reducing purge air usage and saving up to 90% energy.

DC 1 controller and Elektronikon® Touch provide alarms, monitoring, SMARTLINK connectivity and maintenance scheduling.

Straight airflow through solid desiccant results in lower pressure drop, better air quality, no desiccant dust and smaller footprint.
